I was just looking over some podcasting equipment recommended by the PodcastPeople, specifically the Sampson C01U Podcasting Package, which comes with a USB version of the Samson C01U USB microphone, a copy of Cakewalk Sonar LE recording software, a desktop mic stand, shock-mount, and a USB cable... all in an Aluminum Flight Case! Very cool. Anyway, when I saw this "package deal," I was instantly struck with the very question you pose above:"What are the essential classroom tools for collaborating and communicating worldwide?" Maybe that's a post that merits writing? "The Beginning Web 2.0 Teacher Toolkit!" Wanna collaborate? :) Miguel, I agree completely.
